SCOPE
The University Drive roadway will be reconstructed between 40th Ave. S. and 52nd Ave. S.

PURPOSE
University Drive is a two-lane rural section that has outlived its function and will be expanded to a five-lane urban section extending down to 52nd Ave. S. The roadway reconstruction will also improve pavement conditions on University Drive South. The roadbed will be 2 to 3 feet higher than the existing roadway, which may help to serve as an earthen dike for the city.

FUNDING
The estimated cost for the roadway project is $15 million. Approximate split is 71% federal, 9% state, and 20% local.
