SCOPE
Complete reconstruction of Main Avenue between 6th St E and 45th St. The project included the removal of most of the frontage road.
PURPOSE
The need for the proposed reconstruction of Main Avenue was driven by a number of deficiencies along the project corridor. These included deteriorated pavement, poor intersection geometrics, uncontrolled access, inadequate drainage and a lack of pedestrian/bicycle facilities.
FUNDING
80% Federal, 10% State and 10% City for participating items. Items such as sanitary sewer and water main work along with other miscellaneous items were 100% City.
