CURRENT STATUS
Work is now underway for the dirt stabilization to be completed in 2008.
SCOPE
In preparation for a future interchange, additional dirt stabilization will take place in 2008. In 2009, the 9th St. E roadway will be extended over I-94 with construction of an overpass bridge and interchange ramps.
| Original Plan |

*Or later (not included in plans yet) |

2009 - Overpass construction with interchange ramps |
| With the revised plan, the bridge is built one year later but the ramp work is moved up almost four years. |
PURPOSE
The new overpass bridge will provide another option for north-south traffic to cross the interstate, and will support the commercial and residential growth in that area.
FUNDING
The DOT will contribute 90% of the cost for the 2008 dirt stabilization work, with the remaining 10% being covered by the City of Fargo and City of West Fargo. Funding for the bridge component of the project will be determined later this fall.
